Description
This buckwheat is native to the interior coastal mountains of Northern California. It forms a low, expanding mat of felty leaves with the arrowhead shape for which this buckwheat is named. The leaves are dark green on the top and silvery white beneath. The flowers are held in umbels above the leaves. The flower color varies from white to cream. Arrowleaf buckwheat prefers sun to partial shade and well-draining soil.
