Description

The collinus variety of the silver bush lupine occurs in sunny, open sites throughout California. It grows in a mounding form with silver soft-textured leaves. In every way it is a miniature version of other varieties – smaller leaves, flowers, height, etc. The foliage tend to be denser than in larger varieties. Provide a sunny site with well-draining soil. In Santa Clara County, this variety is found growing on rocky road cuts in Henry Coe State Park and other locations in the Diablo range.
