Description

The sweetscent is named for its aromatic foliage. This upright, single-stemmed perennial is topped with an umbel of pink flowers quite attractive to pollinators, such as the southern emerald butterfly and everlasting bud moth. Sweetscent is common in freshwater wetlands throughout the US, and will spread quite readily by means of its aerial seed. In the garden, the sweetscent may be constrained by the availability of water. Full sun and moisture make for an ideal planting site. Sweetscent is adaptable to a variety of soil types and drainages.
