Description
Purple sage is one of California’s beautiful native salvias. Lavender flowers cover the nearly white foliage in spring time. The growth pattern is dense and mounding. Purple Sage is also remarkably tolerant of full sun and little or no water. Under these conditions it maintains an attractive appearance, but it will look a little more lush with occasional water. The ‘Point Sal’ selection adds to these benefits a smaller size. Show off purple sage by planting in the foreground and allowing it to spill over a ledge. A pollinator favorite!
