Description
Calochortus albus is one of several members of the genus displaying pendant, globe-shaped flowers. The flowers of the fairy lantern are generally white with a flush of pink but may be nearly red in certain populations. Calochortus albus occurs in partial to complete shade in well-draining locations, most commonly trail sides. One of the earliest calochortus to bloom. As with all calochortus, the bulb must receive no water during the dry season and is a good candidate for growing in a pot.
