Description

Grand collomia grows in mountainous habitats from British Columbia to Southern California. It forms a small mound of lance-shaped leaves to two feet in height, topped with clusters of white, orange or yellow flowers. The flower color will vary within each cluster. Unusual for an annual, grand collomia prefers partial shade, though it can also tolerate full sun. Well-draining soil is preferred. Grand collomia needs to be planted with care, since it is somewhat sensitive to root disturbance. A Santa Clara County native.
