Description

This fawn lily is thought to be a selection of either E. californicum or E. revolutum, both of which grow in the northwest corner of California. Following summer dormancy, White Beauty fawn lily sebnds up one to several wide leaves with a variegated white pattern on the upper surface. When the bulbs have matured (after several years) a flower stalk arises in late winter, topped with one to several pendent white flowers with mahogany markings near the center. This is considered one of the easier members of the genus to grow. Occasional summer moisture will maintain the bulb through the heat of the summer.
